In addition to classroom instruction for major and non-major musicians, the Department of Music seeks to develop best practices for student success of all students involved in our programs. From health and wellness to time management, this page pulls together resources from across campus and from outside sources to help music students succeed at the University of Arkansas.

On Campus Resources:

  • The Pat Walker Health Center provides health and wellness services for the University of Arkanss campus including: comprehensive medical care, mental health care, and health education and promotion.
  • The CAPS (Counseling and Psychological Services) program helps students navigate the pressures of college-life and byond with various evidence-based mental health services and programs.

Music Tutoring:

  • Music Theory tutoring is available with Graduate Assistants. A schedule of tutoring hours can be found in the music office.

  • Music History tutoring can be arranged with your assigned Graduate Assistant.

Common Core Tutoring:

  • CLASS+ offers tutoring in most common core subjects including math, science, and writing.

Center for Educational Access:

  • The CEA serves as the central campus resource for the University community in regards to students with disabilities and accommodations to remove barriers to access.

Mullins Library:

  • Mullins Library is the main resource for research on campus. The library holds over 2.1 million volumes, more than 56,000 journal titles, and more than 33,000 audio/visual materials.

Multimedia Services:

  • Within Mullins Library, the Multimedia Services center provides specialized resources for researchers in the performing arts. The center includes access to music technology, extensive holdings on music topics, music scores, recordings, and videos.
