Reservations begin after the 11th day and go until Reading day. No one is allowed to reserve rooms during Finals week.
Rules:
Rooms will be available after the 11th day when faculty and graduate teaching assistants have finished scheduling private lessons, ensemble rehearsals, and coaching sessions.
Faculty will be able to reserve rooms at any time or any day that is not already reserved for classes or special events (SHE Festival, Jazz Festival, Arkansas Music Teachers Association Conference, etc.)
Rooms can be reserved for up to two hours for rehearsals. Longer than two hours will not be allowed. Spaces can be reserved in thirty-minute increments.
Reservations will be from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Weekends can be reserved but as rooms will be locked, students will need to find a faculty member or graduate student who has a key to let them in the classroom.
Classrooms must be put back in order when rehearsals are over. Chairs and music stands need to be neat and orderly for the next class or group using the room. Music stands must be placed back in correct rooms. Students that leave spaces with trash not picked up or desks not placed back in rows will be given a warning. Failure to keep rooms clean will result in students being unable to reserve spaces.
Students who have a room reserved but want to cancel their reservation will be able to do so. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served system, so the next person to reserve the room gets it. If a space is reserved but no one shows up for their reservation, someone else can use the room. Students who reserve space but fail to show up for their room up to three times lose their ability to reserve at all.
Any questions or comments about the reservation system can be sent to Britt Graves at bagraves@uark.edu.
